Our Founder

Sonya Keshwani, Founder and Creative Director of StyleEsteem Wardrobe, is a creative entrepreneur and women’s health advocate redefining how fashion shapes identity and confidence. At 29, a breast cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy-induced hair loss disrupted not only her health, but her sense of self—revealing a gap between clinical head coverings and inaccessible high-fashion pieces. Faced with options that neither reflected who she was nor who she was becoming, she chose to create her own.
After each chemotherapy infusion, Sonya began visiting fabric shops and experimenting with her mother’s sewing machine—transforming fabric into a way to reclaim her reflection and her story. As her personal collection grew, so did her confidence, restoring a sense of voice, power, and self-expression. What began as a deeply personal solution evolved into StyleEsteem, the first fashion label to design headwear by season and occasion, bridging fashion, wellness, and identity.
Today, StyleEsteem spans from hospital partnerships to the runways of New York Fashion Week and the pages of Vogue, reflecting Sonya’s vision to redefine how beauty is seen and experienced. Through collaborations with hospitals, nonprofit organizations, and advocacy groups, her work supports patients through access to headwear, wellness programming, and community. As a public speaker on fashion, health, and identity, she continues to shape conversations around confidence, women’s health, and self-expression in times of change.
Sonya envisions StyleEsteem headpieces as one-of-a-kind crowns—symbols of identity, resilience, and personal expression. Rooted in over 5,000 years of headwear history, her work invites each person to step into their power and write their own chapter in fashion history with intention.
